Welcome to this week’s Frugal Friday!

Fashion and homewares

Carry on searching for bargains on the High Street this month, with great sales still taking place across the board.

  • John Lewis: Furniture sale is still on, ending on 30th January.
  • La Redoute: Up to 60% off in the end of season sale. Enter voucher code 8352 for 20% off your first order – valid until 21st January. Enter code 8354 to get £15 off when you spend £30 or more (new customers only).
  • French Connection: Still up to 75% off on selected lines only. Some offers available in store, and some online exclusives. All sale dresses are now £55 or less!
  • Laura Ashley: 50% off fashion and home, with free delivery on furniture, plus an extra 10% off home sale. Pick up one of their great winter coats at a 50% discount. Sale ends 28th January. 
  • Johnny Boden: Still up to 60% off in their Winter Sale, plus another 15% off orders with code: AF02 before 31st January. Free delivery and returns, plus the chance to win an iPad2. Competition runs until 3rd February.
  • Gap: 15% off when you sign up to the Gap newsletter and final reductions have been made on their sale items – sizes and stock limited so hurry!
  • Matalan: Fashion and home with up to 70% off in the final clearance and free delivery when you spend over £40. You can sign up to the free Reward Card for extra discounts, and while you’re at it make yourself the most popular person on your street by entering the competition to win a year’s free household energy for you and your community! Just use your Rewards Card before 26th February to enter.
  • Urban Outfitters: Last chance to shop in the sale with items up to 75% off. Get 10% off your order until 31st January using the code UO10 at the checkout. Sign up to the newsletter using code JACKPOT for the chance to win £1,000 to spend online.
  • Office: Be quick and grab final reductions with a further 20% off , some items down from £65 to £12 like these silver black leather shoes.
  • Amazon: At least 50% off in the outlet store with loads of items in the stock clearance. Save an additional 10% on fashion clearance items with code NOWGET10.
  • Adidas Shop: Up to 50% off selected items in the sale, as well as a voucher for 15% off when you sign up to the Adidas email.
  • Decathlon: Great everyday prices but check out the January Sale brochure for real bargains. Ends 25th January.
  • Go to Homebase for up to 60% off sale items and half price off selected lighting and furniture. Get 15% off decorating items when you enter code AFF15 at the checkout.
  • At Wickes check out the Red Pencil Prices, like 50% off kitchens, 50% off power tools and 33% off lighting, all with free delivery on orders over £45.

Health and beauty

Special offers at online health and beauty store Feelunique.com include a free gift of Clarins Eau Ressourcante Rebalancing Fragrance 50ml worth £14.25 when you buy any two (or more!) Clarins products. Or buy Jimmy Choo Eau de Toilette and receive a free Jimmy Choo bag!

Get a range of health, fitness and skin products from Stressnomore – until 24th January if you spend over £75 you can get 5% off your order with code A SMN5.

At Boots, you can pick up a discount gift set, now up to 75% off. Many toiletries, weight loss products, eye tests and nicotine patches are at half price too! Get £15 off orders over £100 with the code VCPPC15, valid until 31st January.

Meanwhile, over at the Body Shop get £10 off when you spend £30, £15 off when you spend £40 and £25 off when you spend £50. Just enter the code NEWYEAR at the checkout. It doesn’t apply to sale items, but if you have got your heart set on something in the sale, don’t worry - you can get an extra 20% off sale items when you enter code EXTRA20, valid until 30th January.

Books and games

Take a look at some of the deals on offer with The Book People, which is selling books at up to 75% off RRP. Get free delivery by entering code AFWINTER at the checkout.

If you want a Kindle but can’t stomach the £89 price tag then head to WHSmith where you can pick up the equally good Kobo eBook Reader for a more affordable £69.99. It’s an even sweeter deal if you enter code KOBOJAN10 at the checkout – you get an extra tenner off! There is also half price on all books in the incredibly popular Richard & Judy Spring Book Club 2012 collection.

Travel

Take advantage of British Airways’ Goodbye Winter Sale where a return flight to New York is only £376. Flights must be booked by 24th January.

If you are planning a trip with Easyjet book now to get £30 off your holiday by entering the code VC30NOW at the checkout. With Exclusive Deals from £99.50 for a trip to Amsterdam you can make impressive savings on your travel.

Take a friend to Peru for free with Intrepid Traveller’s Buy One Get One Free offer. Trips must be booked before March, and you must travel before September. Just quote promotional code 6669. Freebies of the week

Get lots of free creams and cosmetics from Simple by registering to become a Simple VIP. Get to try out new products first and receive vouchers for money off products.

Pick up two free books, The Woman in Black and The Descendants, by buying the Telegraph on Saturday 21st January and Sunday 22nd January. Copies can be collected from Waitrose and Booths stores nationwide, or from McColls and RS McColl Stores in Scotland.

    worryingly, I have tried to buy the kobo ebook reader but it did not accept the code KOBOJAN10 at the checkout

    when l went back a page to check l'd got it right, then clicked on the link - the page came up again with all my card details in place - it still wouldnt accept the code. Has anyone else had this problem?

    @birdhovell, Tesco are doing the Kindle if you order it and pick up fro £79.99. £10 cheaper than Amazon and you can get free books from Amazon.
