Summer cinema deals
Keep the kids busy this summer with all these cinema deals:
- Don’t forget at Vue cinemas kids aged 2-12 can get £1.25 KidsAM tickets to morning screenings during school hols. For 13-18 year olds £2 tickets are available (£3 for 3D films) with the Teenscreen offer on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Similarly, Odeon offers kids’ tickets for £1-£2.50 during the holidays for selected screenings and adults can go free and Cineworld offers £1 tickets on Saturday mornings for adults and kids – head to the Movies for Juniors offer page and take your pick.
- If you’d rather stay at home, Blockbuster offers members half-price Tuesdays when you rent films and games in-store. Find your nearest Blockbuster here.
Books and Games
Browse through the top deals for book worms this week:
- The deals of the week at Amazon are not to be missed with three bargain hardbacks to choose from; In Defence of Dogs by John Bradshaw for £9 (RRP £20), Rick Stein’s Spain for £11.25 (RRP £25) and On Canaan’s Side by Sebastian Barry for £7.64 (RRP £16.99).
- Also at Amazon you can save up to 50% on favourites such as Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer (the last in the Twilight series) for £8.99, saving you £6 and Room by Emma Donoghue for £7.14, saving you £5.85.
- For ASDA steals, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Friends: My Very First Annual is only £5, then at The Book Depository get the hit One Day by David Nicholls for £4.46 (RRP £7.99).

- When you’re looking for games it’s always worth having a peek on the Play Trade to see if any of the sellers are offering a good price. Right now for example you can buy F.E.A.R. 3 for the Xbox 360 for £23.99 (£39.99).
- On the Nintendo DS The Hut has the best price for the Cars 2 video game at £17.85, saving you 29% and Pokemon Black is £24.85, saving you 38%.
- Finally, ChoicesUK has the best price for Time Crisis Razing Storm (for the PS3) at £11.99, which is £28 off the original retail price.

This week at Boots get triple Advantage points on fragrances over 50ml, selected FitFlops and selected baby travel – that’s 12 points per £1 spent.
And at Feel Unique save £9 when you spend £75 using the code BIGWKD75, or £6.50 on a £50 spend using the code BIGWKD50, save £4.40 on a £40 spend and £3 on a £30 spend using the code BIGWKD30. Codes valid until midnight 31st July.
