It’s back to work after two bank holiday weekends in a row, but don’t fret, here are this week’s frugal finds to put a smile back on your face!

Having fun can easily get expensive but there are plenty of cheap days out to be had if you know where to look…
- Head to Lastminute.com for the half-price theatre ticket sale which ends 31 May. There are 23 deals on offer including Dirty Dancing at the Aldwych Theatre, London, from £32.50 and Pygmalion from £19.75. Browse through all the offers here.
- There are various Lovetheatre codes on offer at Vouchercodes.co.uk to save you money when booking your tickets. For example, Dress Circle seats for Legally Blonde are only £37.50 (usually £66) for performances before 31 May, Monday-Thursday, using code VCUK.
- Out now, the Gardener’s World Magazine is re-running its 2 for 1 discount card on 260 gardens around the UK. This includes the Eden Project, Tatton Park and National Botanical Gardens in Wales.
- There’s a ticket fiesta at Southernrailway.com with 26% off Advance and Off-Peak tickets throughout May when you book online. Also, to celebrate the birthday of moustached Mexican wrestler and train enthusiast Loco Toledo on 26 May, there will be a surprise bargain online fare.

Browse through the top deals for book worms this week:
- Robert Pattinson fans may be all about the film, but Sara Gruen’s novel Water for Elephants is a bargain £3.99 at Amazon, down from £7.99.
- At The Book Depository the second in the Hunger Games science fiction trilogy by Suzanne Collins, Catching Fire, is £3.98 (RRP £6.99) and if you still love the first and original The Hunger Games, it’s only £3.48 (RRP £6.99). But, the final instalment, Mockingjay, is cheaper at Amazon (costing £4.19, down from £6.99).
- Sticking with The Book Depository, you can save 46% on Committed: A Love Story by Elizabeth Gilbert, now £4.27, or grab her world-wide bestseller Eat, Pray, Love for the lowest price of £3.96 at Asda (RRP £7.99).

- Top deals at Tesco Entertainment include Enslaved: Odyssey to the West (Xbox 360) for only £10.95, down from £49.99, and Mindjack for the PS3 for £7, saving you a massive £32.99!
- You can save a neat £14.14 on Xbox 360 game Crysis 2 at GameSeek which has the lowest price of £35.85.
- For the Nintendo DS, save £15.14 on Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light at Zavvi, now only £9.85. Zavvi also has the best price for Xbox Kinect game Carnival Games: In Action at £17.85(RRP £29.99) with five theme parks to enjoy including the ‘Batting Cage’, ‘Hot Air Balloon Race’ and ‘Rocket to Mars’.
