Welcome to our latest Frugal bargain update - rounding up the hottest deals and biggest discounts in the New Year sales.

Yesterday, we took at look at the best bargains for women. So today, it only seems fair to hunt down bargains for men. As always, these deals are likely to fly off the shelves, so if you want something, don’t hang around!

Clothing

1. House of Fraser currently has some big discounts on men’s clothing and accessories. There are loads of casual tops at 60-75% off, such as this Umbro polo top and this long-sleeved crew neck.

And if you’re looking for a suit, this Simon Carter 100% wool number is £100, down from £200.

2. Over on eBay daily deals, the price of these Nike Elite trainers has been slashed from £44.99 to £24.99, including free delivery. According to eBay, this deal is available for today only.

 3. At Debenhams, I’ve found three particularly hot better-than-half-price deals. A range of Quiksilver flip-flops are down from £18 to £5.40 a pair (perfect for foreign hols or early summer preparations!).

This grey stripe travel suit jacket is reduced from £100 to £35. And this St George by Duffer brown leather jacket is down from £150 to £60.

4. Finally, Selfridges is selling several varieties of Evisu men’s jeans at half-price. For example, these Tungsten regular jeans are now £82, down from £165.

Electronics

5. Also over on eBay, you can now snap up a great pair of headphones at a knock-down price. These Denon AH-D501 black hi-fi headphones usually retail at £74.99; but they’re currently on sale for £19.99, including free delivery.

6. One of the best electronics deals in the Argos sale is on this 46 inch Hitachi HD LCD TV. It usually costs £999.99, but it’s currently half-price at £499.99.

DIY

7. DIY enthusiasts should check out the latest sale offers on Amazon. There are various good deals on tools, like this 30-piece Kamasa screwdriver set.

It normally costs £24.93 - but you can currently pick one up for £11.99, including delivery.

Fragrances

8. There’s over 50% off several brands of aftershave on the Cheap Smells website.

For example, 100ml of Giorgio Beverly Hills Red is now £11.18 (down from £47); and 50ml of Davidoff’s Cool Water Game is now £11.73, reduced from £26.

Grooming

9. Boots currently has some good discounts on hair and skincare items. A wide range of Brylcream products are now half-price; and there’s a 2 for 1 deal running on lots of Gillette shaving products.

DVDs

10. Finally, fans of the hit TV series 24 should nip over to Zavvi: The complete DVD box set of series 1-8 plus Redemption is currently on sale for just £79.95, down from the RRP of £244.99.
