Welcome to our latest frugal gift guide - gifts for teens, kids and babies!
Yesterday we looked at the best gifts for parents, grandparents and in-laws, so today it’s time to take a look at the best gifts for teens, kids and babies!
Toys and games
1. There’s now a big sale on toys at Debenhams, with many offering at least 50% off the original price.
For example, this Enchanted Fairy Castle is now £18 (down from £45) and this Bob the Builder Construction play set is £20, reduced from £50. Free delivery is available on all items.
2. Boots has extended its 3-for-2 deal on beauty gifts to include gifts for kids. You can find all the toys included in the offer right here. Delivery starts at £2.90
3. If your sprog is a fan of the phenomenally popular Glee, he or she might appreciate this Karaoke Revolution: Glee game for the Wii.
It’s usually priced at £29.99 - but you can currently get one for £17.99 (including free delivery) on eBay Christmas Deals.
4. Also on eBay, there’s a great offer for younger children. This My Music World Standing Keyboard is usually £49.99; but you can bag one for £24.99, including free delivery.
5. If you need to tire the kids out, take a look at this Mookie Swingball Smash Table Tennis set on Amazon. The RRP is £68.99, but it’s currently reduced to £40.08, with free UK delivery.
6. At Toys R Us, there’s currently a 3-for-2 deal on all MB, Parker and Hasbro games.
Popular games covered by the offer include all sorts of family favourites, like Monopoly, Connect 4, Guess Who?, Mousetrap, Buckeroo!, Twister and Operation.
7. Alternatively, check out the half-price Connect 4 deal over at The Hut. This Toy Story 3 Connect 4 (featuring Buzz and Woody) is usually £20.75. However, it’s currently down to £10.93, including free delivery.
8. It’s also worth checking out the games currently on offer at Tesco. The retailer has knocked one-third off the price of many, including Monopoly, Bop It and Cluedo. Free delivery is available on orders over £50.
9. Good deals for kids at BHS include two half-price games tables: This wooden pool table and this wooden air hockey table are both reduced from £30 to £15.
Experiences
For thrill-seeking sprogs - check out the latest ‘experience’ deal from lastminute.com.
10. This 2-for-1 deal means your child and a friend can both experience indoor skydiving for £69. Minimum age is four years (parental discretion is advised!) and a free DVD will also be thrown in.
Next to nothing
11. Finally, some frugal ideas for parents operating on a particularly tight budget:
If your kid is a creative type, make up a box of crafty activities (you could even wrap and use an old shoebox).
For example, you could include ingredients and instructions for a particular recipe, or the materials, tools and instructions to make a simple cuddly toy.
