Welcome to the third of our frugal gift guides. Last week, we looked at gifts for women and gifts for men. Today, we’re rounding up the best gifts for parents, grandparents and in-laws!

Difficult in-laws and dissatisfied parents are soon to be a thing of the past! We’ve found high-spec gifts at bargain prices, so Christmas dinner should go with a bang…

Beauty and grooming

1. First up, a gift I think would be great for a mum who wants to feel a bit special. This Bare Escentuals i.d Getted Started kit is usually £138 - but it’s down to £37.10 with free delivery.

It contains a range of products to make skin look radiant, and is on offer now on the Feel Unique website.

2. If you’re looking for smaller gifts - perhaps to turn into a hamper for your gran or mother-in-law - check out the current discounts on the Body Shop website.

There’s a whopping 50% off a range of products, including this vitamin E nourishing night cream, and this almond hand rescue treatment.

3. Finally, take a look at this Elizabeth Arden green tea gift set over on Fragrance Direct. The RRP is £43; but you can grab one for £16.50.

Electronics

If you’re looking for a super-duper gift for your dad, there are some great value, short-lived offers over on eBay Christmas deals.

4. For example, this Samsung digital camera is half-price, down from £179.99 to £89.99.

5. And this posh Philips coffee maker is £39.99, down from £119.99.

Books

6. Are your in-laws keen gardeners or cooks? If so, this hardback version of the Market Kitchen Cookbook could be just the ticket.

It shows you how to make delicious meals using the freshest seasonal ingredients. And it’s currently reduced from £16.99 to £5.95 over on Amazon, complete with the option of free delivery.

7. Or perhaps your granddad/father-in-law is a bit of a history buff? The well-reviewed A World on Fire: An Epic History of Two Nations Divided is an epic biography of the American civil war.

It’s usually priced at £30 - but you can currently pick one up for £12.50 and get it delivered for free.

Experiences

Over on lastminute.com, there are some good 2 for 1 ‘experience’ deals which would let your parents or in-laws enjoy their gift together.

8. For example - if the two dads aren’t too hot in the kitchen - you could pack them off together on this Everyday Easy Cookery Class at L'atelier des Chefs in London.

The current 2 for 1 deal makes it £36 for the pair.

Clothes

9. At Debenhams, you can pick up this soft and fluffy Baylis & Harding citrus slipper set for your mum or gran, complete with foot soak crystals and foot lotion.

It’s usually £25, but at the moment you can buy a set for £12.50.

10. And finally, House of Fraser is now selling men’s Linea 100% superfine merino v-neck jumpers for £18, down from £35. Like lots of the deals mentioned here, these are likely to snapped up quickly - so don’t hang around for too long!

Check back tomorrow for some great deals on gifts for kids, teenagers and babies.

Thanks for all the good ideas- it's helpful to have them separated into categories like that. I'm surprised that quality wine isn't on the list. There are some websites dedicated only to serving wines that are rated above 90 points, like www.wineontheway.com so when you look on there for a cheap bottle, you know it's still excellent quality. Sometimes they even blog about their wines so when you give a bottle you have some fun facts to spill about it too. Like this blog: http://blog.wineontheway.com/2009-evening-land-vineyards-chardonnay-seven-springs-vineyard-la-source/# tells the reader that the bottle was named after a story in Greek Myth. Adds a little something to the gift in my opinion.
