The stores are getting warmed up for the Christmas craze and mid season sales are still in full swing, so get stuck into these frugal finds!
Frugal fashion
My pick of the sales this week is Topshop with up to 50% off selected items – the best stuff goes really quickly so don’t miss out! I love these cute bow lace Kirby grips down from £6.50 to £3.25, this crop top, also half-price at £10 and this panelled floral body, reduced from £32 to just £10.
Also, pick up a copy of this week’s Grazia magazine to save 25% on everything online and in-store at Coast, Wallis and Warehouse.

Bargains at Boots
If you need to do a big shop at Boots you can earn up to £12 in Advantage points in the upcoming bonus points events. First up, from today (Friday) until Sunday, if you spend £50 in store or online you’ll get 1,000 points (worth £10).
And, next week there’s a Christmas Shopping Event with 1,200 points (worth £12) up for grabs when you spend £50. This takes place all day online on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 October and from 3pm in selected stores. Enter your postcode here to find out when and where your nearest store event is taking place.
You can also boost your Advantage Card points by shopping at Treat Street, the new Boots website with links to selected stores including ASOS, Wallis and Virgin Holidays. As you shop, you earn Advantage points just as you would if you were spending at Boots – a generous 1 point for every £1 spent. Finally, don’t forget the less than half-price Christmas 'Gift of the week' at Boots which this week is the Sanctuary Spa Perfect Pamper Box reduced from £40 to £19 (my mum got me this last Christmas and the box is perfect for storing all your bits and bobs!).

Browse through the top deals for book worms this week:
- Amazon’s ‘Book Deals of the Week’ all have at least 55% off – buy Minding Frankie by Maeve Binchy for £8.55 (RRP £18.99), the amazing Conversations with Myself by Nelson Mandela for £11.25 (RRP £25), Wonders of the Solar System by Brian Cox for £9 (RRP £20) and What You See is What You Get by Alan Sugar for £8.60 (RRP £20).
- Save 50% on Martina Cole’s The Family, now £9.48 at The Book Depository, saving you £9.51. The Book Depository is the best place to get Cole’s other hits Hard Girls (£4.41, saving you £3.37) and The Business (£5.09, saving you £2.90).
- Finally, if you haven’t got round to buying Steig Larsson’s Millennium trilogy, both The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest are just £3.86 at Asda (RRP £7.99) and The Girl Who Played With Fire is £3.84 at Amazon.

- New game, Fallout: New Vegas for the PS3 and Xbox 360 has £15 off at Blockbuster (now £34.99) and another newbie, sci-fi shooter Vanquish for the PS3 is £27.99 at Base, saving you £22 on the RRP.
- Base is also your best bet for Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, costing £15.99 for the PS3 and saving you £24, but if you want the game on other platforms Amazon has the best price for the Xbox (£13.49) and Nintendo Wii (£14.80).
- For Nintendo DS gamers, newly released Scooby Doo and the Spooky Swamp has £10 off (now £14.99) at Base and Hello Kitty: Puzzle Party is only £9.99 at Coolshop (£24.99).

Cheap days out
With half term next week there are plenty of deals on family days out up for grabs and if these don’t take your fancy there are a whole load more on vouchercodes.co.uk.
- The whole family can visit Monkey World in Dorset for free, as long as they don full Halloween fancy dress on 31 October. Tickets usually cost £12.50 per adult and £7.50 per child.
- Kids in fancy dress go free after 5.30pm between 22 and 31 October at West Midland Safari Park as part of their Spooky Spectacular event when accompanied by a full paying adult. Download this voucher.
- Get a free child’s ticket for Chester Zoo when you purchase two adult tickets before 31 October by using this voucher.
