Top five fixed energy tariffs - 19th July 2010
Get £50 cashback for switching your energy tariff this week!
There has been quite a bit of movement in the energy market since my last blog . The cheapest fixed tariff e.on FixOnline 8 tariff has been withdrawn as well as Scottish Powers Online Energy Reward. A number of supplier’s cheapest acquisition rates have gone up too such as Southern Electric, npower and new supplier Ovo Energy.
In April, the cheapest dual fuel tariff was £855. Today, it is £883. As the very cheapest tariffs are going up, if you want to grab a low cost deal you should do it soon.
If you want more incentive, Scottish Power are currently offering a £50 cashback deal for switches through sites like lovemoney.com. Their cheapest deal Online Energy Saver 10 costs £915 – if you get the £50 cashback, then an annual bill of £865 makes it the cheapest around. Just be aware these offers are only ever available for a limited time so you have to act quickly if you want to take advantage of them.
