The cheapest energy tariff is set to be withdrawn tonight. But which one is it?

As predicted in my last blog, the first of the cheap fixed tariffs (e.on’s FixOnline 8 tariff) is set to be withdrawn TODAY:  30th June.

If you want to grab it you will have to be quick as it is set to be withdrawn to new customers from midnight tonight.

i am on the Eon fix online 8 and i have swapped twice to better rates with them in the past 4 months since switching.

they seem ok to me and have a few money saving ideas for sale or to try as well as the smart meter for free

The problem with the claims that Utility Warehouse make is that they are not actually as cheap as they claim they are purely on energy.

Look at any energy comparison table (most reputable comparison sites are accredited by Consumer Focus and have to display every tariff and supplier) and you will see that they appear in the bottom third in most cases.

Where Utility Warehouse would seem to score well is if you bundle all your services (gas, elect, phone, broad band etc) into one. Not everyone wants to do this as separate comms (phone and broadband) and energy deals can often offer huge savings depending on circumstance.
