The top five energy tariffs - 18 June

How does your current energy tariff compare to the top five new deals available at the moment?

Just as energy prices seem to have dropped to affordable levels it looks like wholesale gas and electricity prices are creeping up again.

With a number of suppliers offering very competitive fixed rates for 12 months now might be the time to hedge against rises.

In the case of the cheapest fixed rate, the difference between the best variable rate and the cheapest capped rate is only £5!

Here are the top five fixed energy tariffs available at the moment:

There are several claimed "green" energy tariffs.

However I hate wind farms, which destroy the tranquility of hundreds of square miles of unspoilt countrysie, and I support nuclear power.

Are there any energy tariffs which enable me specifically to avoid energy from wind farms and to support nuclear power, please?

You can select the green only option on the calculator, and the individual green tariffs have additional popup windows that show you what the source of the energy is.

One of the cheapest Southern Electric tariff is from Hydro Electric power, others are likely to have hydro content too.

    I hope this helps.
