First Utility has launched two new tariffs which are the cheapest around.

First Utility launches cheapest energy tariffs

Energy supplier first:utility has announced the launch of two new cheap tariffs, the iSave v12 online variable tariff and the iSave Fixed v4 tariff, which sees prices fixed until 31st March 2014.

Having seen a number of suppliers pull top tariffs in the past few weeks, in addition to supplier SSE’s recent price hike, this move should cause some cheer. With energy bills expected to soar above £1,400 on average next year the launch of these new tariffs is great news.

The iSave v12 tariff costs on average £1,054 a year, a £256 saving from the average UK dual fuel energy bill (source: Ofgem). The iSave Fixed v4 costs on average £1,087 a year and is currently the cheapest fixed deal available, saving £223 over the average UK dual fuel tariff. Prices for this tariff are fixed until 31 March 2014, but there are cancelation penalties of £30 per fuel for leaving prior to the end of the fixed period.

We recommend that you compare your energy suppliers often to ensure that you are paying as little as possible for your energy. With many tariffs disappearing recently it is imperative that you seize the opportunity to get the best deals while they are available.

I get fed up having to keep comparing. It's the same electrons from the same power stations down the same cables. It's not a product, it's energy. This is ripe to be a non-profit making national utility, not like the political con nationalised system.
