Cheap energy tariffs are being withdrawn – hurry!

Companies continue to pull their cheapest online tariffs, replacing them with more expensive ones just as winter is creeping in. If you’re on a standard tariff or recently come off a cheap fixed tariff, why don’t you see how much you could save by switching? But you’d better be quick, before even more providers up their rates!

E.ON is the latest energy provider to withdraw its cheapest online tariff and replace it with a new, more expensive version. This latest news follows npower and Ovo’s announcements in recent weeks.

This means that there are now only two online energy tariffs at less than £900 a year: EdF and First Utility. But who knows how long these will remain?

Bear in mind that about six months ago, most providers were bunching around the £850 to £920 mark. This is not a good trend to be spotting so close to winter. Remember it takes two months to switch – you need to do it now if you want to avoid large winter bills.

Should I switch?

If you’re paying more than around £75 a month on your energy bills, you could save up to £300 a year by switching. That’s right – three hundred pounds! What are you waiting for? Prices are only set to get more expensive....

Dont worry, The Utility Warehouse have stated they are not raising their energy prices. So no need to rush and try and lock in a deal for 18 months with these companies. Its the same every year, scare you because they are raising prices and then lock you in now for 18 months and you think your getting a good deal. Its all a game. I remember a certain celebrity money expert appearing on a show and shouting down the camera for everyone to get fixed energy deals locked into a contract NOW! After 2 weeks he was back on the same show saying whatever you do, dont lock yourself into a deal because the prices are coming down. Oh! it was too late for me.

I decided to do my own due dilligence and found a British company with a British Call centre that gives me piece of mind that i will always get a good value deal with all my services just on one bill. Yes, i am biased because i became a member. But if i wasnt getting a great deal i wouldnt be writing this now.

All im saying is just look around yourself and dont get panicked into locking deals in or relying on comparrison websites.

Click the link to do your own due dilligence on The Utility Warehouse.
